Description :

After its debut release / introduction / manifesto Decadence mixed by label owner and DJ Bloody Mary, Dame-Music returns with a 12″ EP from Arado & Marco Faraone. Arado from Düsseldorf entered the scene in 2009 with Den Ishu, who together created the hit “Uganda Express” on Desolat and followed up earlier this year on Area Remote. Arado first heard Marco Faraone’s music via Loco Dice, who was championing one of Marco’s unreleased tracks in his sets over the course of months. Arado and Marco met and instantly realized they shared a common vision. Now, Dame-Music has the pleasure of presenting the very first collaboration between these promising young producers.

“Hard Time to Travel” (also the title of the EP) was first heard in the aforementioned Decadence mix CD, and has been a staple in Bloody Mary’s sets in the last several months. With its throbbing, optimistic house beat, the track is marked by a philosophising voice stating “All things must come to an end”, but when this line is repeated as a refrain, we feel the sense of time suspended and that the party is only getting started! “Don’t Touch my Stereo” has a more laid-back vibe, but still with a seductive sense of energy and a jacking breakdown. Finally, “Hard Travel to Weeze” ends the EP with a dynamic pumping groove, adorned with mesmerising, indecipherable voices.
